Economy Screened Topsoil & Blended Multipurpose Topsoil
Our topsoils are suitable for lawns, borders, raised beds, levelling and general landscaping. They are screened to 10mm to remove larger stones, roots and debris, leaving a workable soil that is easier to spread and cultivate.
We supply both standard screened topsoil and certified blended topsoil for planting and raised beds, delivered loose by 8-wheel grab lorry.
- Screened topsoil – suitable for lawns, borders, levelling and general landscaping. Made from naturally occurring topsoil, screened down to 10mm.
- Blended topsoil – BS3882 certified blended topsoil suitable for raised beds and planting. Made by blending naturally occurring topsoil with compost and sand. Screened down to 10mm.
A rough guide
As a rule of thumb, screened topsoil weighs around 1.4–1.5 tonnes per cubic metre. For a new lawn you want a finished depth of 100–150mm — so a 50m² lawn needs roughly 7–11 tonnes.
